IMIDRO’s Chairman of the Executive board of Directors emphasized the optimal, agile, and scheduled operation of the quay in the Persian Gulf Special Economic Zone.
According to IMIDRO’s Public Relations, Mohammad Masoud Samiei Nejad at the monitoring meeting on actions in the Persian Gulf Special Zone, noted: in order to advance the objectives in this economic zone, development programs should be accelerated. He added: IMIDRO, with the aim of implementing development projects and programs, will review the region’s budgetary performance every three months.
The region’s short- and long-term plans for quay construction
Continuing the meeting, the Head of the Persian Gulf Special Economic Zone said: in this economic zone, from the beginning of this year until 25 October, over 6.7 million tonnes of product have been produced and about 2.5 million tonnes have been exported. Mohammadreza Pirhosseinlou stated: currently 16,185 people are directly employed in the zone. Regarding the region’s development projects he continued: in the short term, construction of two independent oil quay berths and a dedicated quay for acid and bitumen exports, and in the long term the construction of comprehensive regional ports with seven quay berths are being considered.
