At a meeting between the heads of IMIDRO and the National Development Fund:

IMIDRO's initiative with the National Development Fund to supply power for mining industries / Applicants and providers of clean electricity will gather around one table

In an innovative move, the heads of the National Development Fund and IMIDRO, with the aim of overcoming the limitations of electricity in the mining and mineral industries sector, held a joint meeting in the presence of applicants and suppliers of renewable energy.

According to IMIDRO's public relations, hosted by Mehdi Ghazanfari, the National Development Fund’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mohammad Masoud Samiei Nejad, IMIDRO’s Chairman of the Executive Board of Directors, along with Managing Directors and senior managers of mine and mining industry companies as well as investors and power suppliers, a session was held for multilateral cooperation.

Samiei Nejad while recalling that the price of electricity from private renewable power plants is higher than the usual residential sector rates, noted: the best buyers of this type of electricity are industrial and manufacturing companies.
in order to meet the needs of mine and mining industry companies, an agreed-upon rate can be set so that, while preventing power cuts and reducing production, a long-term customer is also created for the supplied electricity.

Samiei Nejad stated that IMIDRO can ink 25-year purchase contracts for this type of electricity for its affiliated and subsidiary companies, and pointed out that investment to produce electricity in IMIDRO's special economic zones in Bandar Abbas, Makran and Lamerd is a priority.
On the other hand, Mehdi Ghazanfari, stated that some of the electricity generated by investors who have used the fund's facilities, is surplus, and continued: "Now, conditions are in place for consumers and producers of renewable electricity to have mutual cooperation."

In this meeting, Managing Directors and senior executives of Khuzestan Steel Company, National Copper Company, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company, Gol Gohar, National Iranian Steel company, and IMPASCO discussed their views regarding the conditions for selling export currency in the first and second halls of the stock exchange, as well as power outages during the hot seasons and the resulting production losses.
