Beginning a New Chapter in Mining Collaboration with China

IMIDRO’s Chairman of the Executive Board of Directors met with the Head of the China Mining Association
On the sidelines of the China Mining Conference and Exhibition, IMIDRO’s Chairman of the
Executive Board of Directors, accompanied by a group of senior managers from Iran"s mining
industry, met and exchanged views with the Chairman of the China Mining Association and
some key members of that organization.

According to IMIDRO’s Public Relations, with the aim of creating effective links between Iranian
and Chinese companies, particularly to utilize the capabilities of the private sector in the mining
field, this meeting was held.
Mohammad Masoud Samiei Nejad, referring to the diverse mining capacities of the Islamic
Republic of Iran, including metallic and non-metallic reserves, developing infrastructure, and
supportive policies, noted: We are ready to elevate the level of mining cooperation as one of
the operational bases of the 25-year comprehensive cooperation program between Iran and
China.
The head of the China Mining Association, while welcoming the proposals of the Iranian side,
emphasized the need to increase awareness among actors in the mining sector and related
industries in Iran and China regarding the capacities and capabilities of both countries.
declared: this association is ready to facilitate bilateral cooperation, particularly by easing the
exchange of operational delegations.
The China Mining Association, with 2,000 active members, including engineering, extraction,
processing, technical service companies, and equipment manufacturers, plays a key role in
guiding China’s mine and mining industries and expanding international cooperation in this
sector.
The China Mining Conference 2025 was held on October 23–25 (Aban 1–3 Iranian Calendar),
during which the Chairman of IMIDRO’s Board presented and outlined the outlook for the
development of mine and mining industries relations between the two countries.
